- This 1-hour continuing education course reviews contemporary advances in color vision science and their direct application to everyday optometric practice. Emphasis is placed on differentiating congenital and acquired color vision deficiencies, understanding modern retinal and post-receptoral mechanisms, and integrating advanced color vision testing strategies into routine and occupational eye care. Participants will learn how color vision testing can serve as a functional biomarker for ocular and neurologic disease, guide clinical management, and enhance patient counseling and safety.
