ARBO Regulatory Webinars

ARBO's Member Boards are invited to attend the ARBO Happy Hour member regulatory webinars which are held the third Tuesday of every other month. The Regulatory Happy Hours will cover current information relevant to optometry regulation and ARBO programs and services. The sessions are interactive and are open for all of ARBO's member regulatory Board members, Board staff, and Board attorneys to attend. You won't want to miss these exciting opportunities to engage with your peers and exchange valuable regulatory information.

    Administrative Sanctions and Board Authority

    Chevron: It's Not Just A Gas Station

    When an optometry board makes a decision that is appealed into the courts, what happens? Please join Dale Atkinson, and members of the ARBO Board of Directors, for a review of the Chevron deference principle that addresses how courts should or should not defer to the decisions of the optometry board. A June 2024 United States Supreme Court decision will be looked at and how judicial review of boards decisions may change.
