- Dry eye disease management is evolving beyond symptom suppression toward therapies that restore ocular surface health through regenerative approaches. Emerging biologics such as exosomes, amniotic membrane therapies, and nerve growth factor (NGF)–based treatments—including those currently in the pipeline—aim to promote cellular repair, support corneal nerve regeneration, and modulate inflammation. This course reviews the mechanisms and current evidence behind these regenerative therapies and discusses how they can be integrated into modern ocular surface disease management, particularly in patients with chronic or treatment-refractory dry eye.
