- Many eye conditions do not respond to topical treatment and require the use of systemic drugs.. This course is designed to increase the comfort level of prescribing these medications by reviewing the mechanisms of action, dosage and side effects. Using actual cases of trauma, acute or chronic disease, these conditions will be discussed, analyzed, and treated. Common conditions, unique situations and emerging therapies will be discussed.
