Description:
Approximately 40% of spectacle lens wearers have refractive astigmatism ranging from 0.75 to 2.00 diopters, making these patients ideal candidates for GP lenses. Some of these individuals are fitted with toric soft lenses that can provide sub-optimal vision. Therefore, a large potential market for GP contact lenses is ever present in our practices. This course will examine the issue of how today’s astigmatic patient’s are managed with GP contact lenses. Throughout this course/lab session we will demonstrate new lens designs options and fitting techniques that allow for a more precise fitting of the astigmatic patient
