Description:
The prevalence of diabetes in the US has reached epidemic proportions. Eye care providers play a vital role in the care and management of these patients. The evolution of anti-VEGF drugs and steroid implants have nearly sub-planted laser for diabetic macular edema and patients are having better outcomes then ever before. But still patients are falling through the cracks and not being seen in time. This course will provide an overview of the current treatments for diabetic retinopathy and discuss strategies for trying to get patients in sooner to see their eye care provider.
