Description:
This course examines and discusses sometimes controversial topics in glaucoma diagnosis and management. Glaucoma progression is discussed with an emphasis on risk factors for progression as well as various modalities to identify clinically important change. The role of corneal thickness and intraocular pressure as risk factors for glaucoma are discussed. The role of corneal hysteresis and ocular photography are addressed. Proper time to recommend SLT and iridotomy are also discussed. Algorithms addressing optic nerve change and disc hemorrhage development are presented. The role of gonioscopy is also covered in regards to OCT angle analysis.
