Description:
While these devices and or procedures are surgical in nature, its imperative that the optometrist understands the potential use of each and is fully aware of their possible inclusion with cataract surgery or use of those that can be done as a stand-alone procedure as a way to further lower IOP in their glaucoma patients. This course will start with a review of the basic physiology of aqueous humor production and outflow and attempt to teach those in attendance the mechanisms by which each of these devices and or procedures effectively alter IOP post-operative care of the MIGS patients will be reviewed as well.
