- This course will explore the prevalence of traumatic brain injury as well as common subtypes within the umbrella term of ‘TBI.’ The course will delve into the vestibular, ocular, cognitive, migraine, anxiety/mood and cervical subtypes as proposed by Collins et. al (2013) and further discuss the strategies for evaluating patients within the Ocular Subtype. Visual consequences of TBI will be elucidated and common vision therapy techniques for the Ocular Subtype patients - namely accommodative, saccadic and vergence therapies - will be discussed.
