- Description:
- The use of laser energy to treat various anterior segment conditions, including posterior capsular opacification (PCO), angle closure glaucoma, and open angle glaucoma, has been used by optometric physicians in certain states for over a decade now. There are currently 6 states that allow OD's to perform anterior segment laser procedures with many others looking to expand. This interactive presentation will review and update these ophthalmic laser procedures, and will include a discussion from the OD and DO perspective on anterior segment laser procedures including YAG caps, SLT, and LPI.
