The Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society CPOS is planning our annual continuing educational CE forum at the Hotel Hershey Hershey PA on September 18th 2011. The CE forum will provide six hours of CE credit to Pennsylvania Optometrists. We believe that educating Optometrists on evidenced based medicine is best achieved through sharing relevant clinical experiences in the diagnosis management and treatment of ocular diseases. This program is designed to be a live interactive forum and will host nationally recognized experts in the field of optometry and ophthalmology. These experts will educate optometrists through literature review live interactive forum and case presentations. Our proposed faculty will include Mike Cymbor O.D. Victoria Dzurinko O.D. William Potter O.D. and Thu Pham M.D. Recruitment for this event will include invitations sent to all POA Members. There will also be an insert in the JulyAugust issue of the Keystoner POAs Newsletter. Email blasts will be sent to all POA members monthly throughout the summer leading up to the event. We will also issue a save the date reminder at our annual awards banquet in May 2011. Our attendance goal this year is 70 optometrists.
