Based on the educational guidelines set forth by the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners the University of Houston College of Optometry in cooperation with the Optometry Association of Louisiana designed the Advanced Procedures Course. This course will afford participants with the opportunity to complete the necessary requirements to be licensed to perform laser and minor surgical procedures. The program will feature 19 hours of lecture 11 hours of hands-on workshops and 2 hours of review and examination over lasers for a total of 32 continuing education hours.
