Laser Therapy for the Anterior Segment includes the training and opportunity to learn the technical skills required for performing laser procedures such as Posterior Capsulotomy Peripheral Iridotomy and Laser Trabeculoplasty. Therapies are included for open angle glaucoma including SLT and Angle Closure. Twelve hours of lecture are followed by four hours of hands-on laboratory utilizing the ophthalmic lasers. For many years this course has been designated by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners in Optometry for meeting the credentialing requirements leading to Certification in Laser Procedures within the state.
