The event will be hosted at Cleary University Howell in a classroom-like setting. This enclosed room comes equipped with audio gear projectorwhite screen and a podium and can comfortably seat up to 300 people.
Dr. Ernest will discuss customized cataract surgery and its detailed process. Dr. Ernest will present on the advances of different lenses and how to pair the correct lens to a patients lifestyle. Dr. Ernest will review study findings on higher order aberrations and internal comas.
Dr. Bruce Onofrey will discuss Description The job of a pharmacist is not easy. They are charged with protecting the patient and acting as a source of drug information to both providers and patients. However their lack of knowledge of ocular disease and specifically ocular medications can sometimes create friction with optometrists. Furthermore the addition of 3rd party plans and the high expense of all medications sometimes limits the prescription choices of eye doctors. These issues will be discussed by an optometrist pharmacist who has seen the issues from both sides.

This Rapid-Fire course is a presentation on general optometry. Dr. Sujata Purohit will discuss everything eyelid including the anatomy biopsy categories electron microscopic features case examples and counseling patients. Dr. Daniel VanElk will educate optometrists on ocular manifestations following systemic medication use.
Dr. Anthony Sensoli will present the latest results in dropless cataract surgery including the potential risks benefits to the patients and goals for future meds. Dr. Sensoli will discuss the technology and techniques used for these procedures.
This rapid-fire course is a presentation on the treatment and management of posterior segment ocular diseases. Dr. Carmelina Gordon will discuss subthreshold laser treatment for macular edema. She will include the historical background clinical evidence for efficiency and clinical case presentations. Dr. Surendar Purohit will educate optometrists central serous chorioretinopathy. He will discuss pathogenesis risk factors clinical features and treatments of CSC.
This rapid-fire course is a presentation on the treatment and management of Glaucoma. Dr. Kevin Lavery will discuss Glaucoma Treatment whats hot and whats not. He will include upcoming meds different MIGS and reviews on stents and shunts. Dr. Clint Simpson will educate optometrists on using the OCT for glaucoma use. He will discuss types of OCTs the pitfalls errors and effects of OCTs.
Dr. Lillian Kalaczinski will discuss This course will inform attendees on all aspects of human trafficking including the definition and types of human trafficking the scope of the problem in Michigan and the U.S. and common venues where trafficking occurs.
