This course is designed to provide education on the terminology used for scleral lens fitting as well as how it fits in with protocols and documentation used in clinical practice with scleral lenses. This beginners course will discuss the terms that have been adopted by the ISO and Scleral Lens Education Society and provide evidence and justification for such use. We will discuss clinical protocols and documentation and share tools to implement an organized and efficient scleral lens practice. The emphasis of this course will be on the terminology used in scleral lens management and we will review current literature to provide clinical evidence for making efforts to use proper terminology and protocols for scleral lens management. Utilizing COPE’s Live Policy Modification due to COVID-19.
