The Music City Dry Eye Symposium (MCDES) will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 14-15, 2022 in Nashville, TN. The Music City Dry Eye Symposium (MCDES) will focus on one largely overlooked aspect of eye care: the role of the biofilm in dry eye disease (DED). MCDES will bring together subject matter experts among ophthalmologists and optometrists to educate fellow eye doctors about one of the recently discovered causes of dry eye. The symposium will discuss how elimination of biofilm can profoundly impact the severity and chronicity of blepharitis and subsequent dry eye.
