- This 1 hour course reviews laser trabeculoplasty in the treatment of open angle glaucoma. A brief historical perspective of the procedure will be followed by a discussion of selective laser trabeculoplasty SLT. Mechanism of action, expected results, pre- and post-operative care, and results of recent clinical trials will be presented. Micropulse diode laser trabeculoplasty and titaniumsapphire laser trabeculoplasty are briefly discussed as alternatives to SLT.
